Hi, I’m Vance Dillard. I officially joined Finney Media in 2025 as an Audience Growth Consultant.

My more than 50 years in radio began in high school with the help of my high school Journalism teacher who pointed me toward the microphone. There were many others along the way that helped me grow and experience radio in many different formats, from hometown AM radio, powerful 50-thousand-watt powerhouses and all music FM’s.

Christian radio programs and stations have given me the opportunity to create and grow radio audiences for a real purpose. Some of my previous work with formats, talent and audiences include The Fish Nashville, 700 WLW-Cincinnati, Peach 94.9 Atlanta, 610 WTVN-Columbus, 610 WIP Philadelphia and 107.3 WWBA Tampa Bay, B97.5 Knoxville and  Family Life Radio as they transitioned from Oakland, CA to Nashville, TN.

Many talented and wonderful people have helped me grow my skills and career over the years. And, I’ve had the honor to help shape the future of Christan broadcasting by serving on the Christian Music Broadcasters (CMB) Board of Directors. It is a God-inspired pleasure to continue to be involved with stations and talent to continue to influence and grow Christian Radio through Finney Media.

I’ve been cheered on by my wife, Mary, along with my four daughters, my stepson, 21 grandchildren and now two great grandchildren. Radio continues in our family with one of my grandchildren beginning his college study in journalism.  All four of my daughters have great communication and writing skills and one of them even married a disc jockey!

I strive to live by this verse inspired by Isaiah 48:17-18: Your will and Your way Lord. You are a great teacher, Lord. Lead me where You want me to go. For when I follow you, peace and prosperity are never far behind.
